Artists at the Jubilee Rome 2024
On December 21st 2024, I received the International Prize Artists at the Jubilee in Rome, in Piazza di Spagna.
The prize is a recognition that is assigned to all those artists who have distinguished themselves over the years for their artistic research and for the stylistic value of their works of art.
I was awarded by the Fondazione Effetto Arte, by Dott. Francesco and Salvatore Russo, and the president of the Foundation Mr Sandro Serradifalco.
I received it with my artwork "Strange Way of Light - Jake and Silva's Feelings", inspired by my artistic journey of last year on the short movie : Strange Way of Light by Mr Pedro Almodóvar .
Strange Way of Light - Jake and Silva's Feelings
The artwork presented is a diptych of the two characters Jake (E. Hawke) & Silva (P. Pascal) from the short film by Pedro Almodóvar: "Strange Way of Life – Extraña Forma de Vida".
I wanted to transcribe the feelings and the vibration of each character through powerful colors. The blue represents Jake — a cold, hard, determined soul. The red represents Silva — passion and energy.
